**Job Description: Bookkeeper at New Cast Stone - Lindon, Utah**
**Position Title:** Bookkeeper
**Location:** Lindon, Utah
**Reports to:** Senior Management
**Mission:**
The mission of the Bookkeeper is to produce accurate and reliable accounting reports for senior management, ensuring closed books by the 5th day of each month. The role also focuses on improving accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes, reducing AR by 10 days and increasing AP by 5 days by December 31, 2025.
**Key Accountabilities/Outcomes:**
1. **Monthly Closing of Books:**
- Reconcile all financial transactions and complete monthly accounting reports by the 5th of each month.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
2. **Accounts Receivable (AR) Management:**
- Reduce outstanding AR from 20% over 90 days to ensure that no invoices remain unpaid for over 60 days by December 31, 2025.
- Actively monitor and follow up with customers on overdue payments.
3. **Accounts Payable (AP) Management:**
- Increase AP days from 15 to 20 days for invoices without early payment discounts, with a goal of achieving this by December 31, 2025.
- Ensure timely payments while optimizing cash flow for the business.
4. **Payroll Processing:**
- Finalize and process payroll bi-monthly, ensuring compliance with wage regulations and timely payments to employees.

- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.

- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines, particularly in completing month-end reports.

**Required Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, with a track record of closing books and managing AR/AP processes.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience with payroll processing.
- Highly organized, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
**Work Environment:**
This is an on-site position located at New Cast Stone in Lindon, Utah. The role requires collaboration with various teams and direct reporting to senior management.
