Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeper – Job Duties & Responsibilities 1. Financial Recordkeeping Record daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses. Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy. 2. Accounts Payable and Receivable Process vendor invoices, prepare checks, and ensure timely payments. Generate and send client invoices; track receivables and follow up on outstanding balances. Verify and post transactions to appropriate accounts. 3. Payroll Assistance Assist with payroll preparation by collecting and verifying employee time and attendance records. Calculate wages, deductions, and benefits as needed. Maintain payroll files and ensure confidentiality. 4. Administrative and Support Tasks Respond to vendor and client inquiries regarding payments and account information. Support the accounting manager or senior accountant in special projects. Assist in budget preparation and expense tracking.
