We are looking for full or part-time Baristas to join our team at a single source Colombian specialty coffee shop located in the Pearl District of Portland, OR. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 6 months of experience working with coffee and providing excellent customer service. Interviews will be conducted as applications come in. Please provide your resume with all relative work experience. A cover letter is optional but a personal summary is encouraged.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve specialty Colombian coffee drinks and other beverages promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area at all times.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Assist in opening and closing duties as needed.
- Serve day-time beer/wine/cocktails.
- Continue to pursue knowledge and education in the coffee industry through our training programs.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working with coffee in a cafe setting. (Preferably 1+ year)
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, dual-business, environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends and potentially evenings.
- Server and OLCC certifications mandatory (must have before first day of training)
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred but not required.
- Experience in a bar/cocktail lounge preferred.
