Are you a compassionate and experienced nursing professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team in a 54-bed adult inpatient behavioral health unit. In this role, you'll play a vital part in leading a team of healthcare professionals while ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.
What You'll Do:
Oversee and support the nursing staff to ensure exceptional patient care.
Conduct initial nursing assessments within 24 hours of admission and reassess throughout the patient's stay.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Administer medications and perform medical treatments as directed by physicians.
Coordinate and supervise efficient discharge planning to support patient transitions.
Ensure compliance with documentation and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, and outside health and social agencies to develop comprehensive care plans.
Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, supporting their professional growth and development.
Monitor performance, conduct evaluations, and ensure staff competency training.
Maintain high standards of care by adhering to therapeutic guidelines and measuring health outcomes.
Support operational efficiency by managing clinical staffing and ensuring equipment maintenance.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
Active RN license in Alabama or multi-state compact license.
Current CPR certification.
At least 3 years of experience in behavioral health nursing.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
