Analyst, Finance Transformation

POSITION SUMMARY

As a vital member of the Finance Transformation Team, the entry level analyst position will support the implementation and maintenance of digital tools to streamline, automate, and enhance decision-making processes within the organization. This role involves participating in continuous improvement through process re-engineering, automation, data analytics, and insights initiatives using emerging digital technologies. The candidate will assist in modifying, maintaining, and enhancing policies, procedures, and standards within the Finance Transformation Center of Excellence. This role includes identifying opportunities to improve existing automations and robotic process automation (RPA) and analyzing industry trends to evaluate emerging digital capabilities for use within USG. The Entry Level Analyst will collaborate with teams across Finance, IT, Global Supply Chain, and Customer Experience.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support multiple core-business processes on various technology platforms utilizing working knowledge of systems design, relational databases, and programming languages.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of plan for a digitally empowered team
  • Works with internal customers to continuously deliver value on existing business process enhancements or automation projects, as well as participate in the design and build of new process automations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of low to medium complexity business process automation projects/enhancements, with opportunities to contribute to high complexity projects/enhancements.
  • Consistently utilize established governance processes and tools to prioritize value creation opportunities.
  • Manage ad hoc requests from internal customers that map to our broader goal of value creation
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to accelerating transformation progress and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and modification of documented standards while working with automation tools (process mapping, automation software, and RPA).
  • Document requirements gathering for projects/enhancements, using analytical skills to understand and propose solutions for improved business outcomes.

Qualifications

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or information technology in business-related field, or equivalent experience.

Years of Experience

  • 0-2 years in financial and/or technical roles.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to support change within the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Proactively seeks feedback and assistance when presented with challenges
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly understand and decompose technical concepts.
  • Experience with Data/Process Mining and visualizations
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as SQL/PQL, Python and JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and systems design

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
