Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team at Colonial Vista Post Acute. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to promote overall well-being among our residents. You will collaborate with the Activity Director to help design, implement, and evaluate engaging activities tailored to the needs and interests of our community. Your creativity and strong interpersonal skills will enable you to foster an inclusive and positive environment while encouraging participation in various programs. You will have the opportunity to work with individuals of different ages, ensuring that everyone feels welcomed and motivated to improve their wellness through enjoyable activities. This position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in our residents' lives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and organizing daily activities
• Engage with participants during activities to encourage participation and motivation.
• Set up and prepare necessary equipment and materials for activities and events.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all activities and programs.
• Monitor participants' progress and provide feedback to enhance their performance.
• Collaborate with other staff to tailor activities to individual needs.
• Document participant attendance and feedback to improve future programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in activities coordination or recreational programming is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and age groups
• Enthusiastic with a positive attitude
