Stoney Point Meadows , a Cassia community, is hiring an  Activities Assistant , to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA ! Do you enjoy spending time with others and making people smile? Then we have a great opportunity for you.

As an  Activities Assistant at Stoney Point Meadows , you will use your creativity to conduct fun and exciting activities with our residents. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a genuine concern for our residents’ well-being, and has a creative personality and positive attitude who is a team player. 

 

Position Type:  Part-Time

Shifts Available: 
Days 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Some Saturdays)

 

Activities Assistant responsibilities:

• Encourage, support, and assist memory care residents with activities.
• Assist in implementing therapeutic recreation programs.
• Interact and assist residents on a one to one basis outside of structured program times.
• Document activity attendance and degree of involvement.
• Act as a positive representative at all times.
• Display an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Assist Activities Director as needed with activities for AL residents.
• Perform other related tasks as needed.

Activities Assistant Qualifications:

• Prior experience implementing activity programs to residents in a senior living setting preferred.
• Demonstrate good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude in promoting activities.
• Creative aptitude for training in arts, crafts, and games.
• Good communication skills, including ability to give directions to others in a manner that is pleasant and easily understood.
